Dionisios was born in Greece on Saturday , August 15, 1931 to his late Parents Ioannis and Antonia Bastas. Dionisios would meet and marry the love of his life Spyroula Vriniotis and together would raise their children John who at a very young age passed away in Greece, Antonia and Dionisios Jr. They a few years later moved to The United States of America to pursue the American dream and raise their children. They eventually settled in Bayside, Queens, New York. He then became a Butcher at Grand Union where he worked for over 30 years while his wife was a seamstress. Together they both worked tirelessly and became homeowners. He enjoyed his private time by gardening vegetables and flowers. He also was handy at his home. He then in 1996 bought a home in Port Charlotte, Florida where he and his wife traveled to for a few months at a time. There he enjoyed his hard work by fishing, attending the local Greek Orthodox Church - Holy Trinity and doing his handy work to his home along with a beautiful vegetable garden - he definitely had a green thumb.
He had a very cute personality always telling jokes and his life stories that were all very entertaining. He was a very loving father, husband and grandfather. He will be immensely missed and fondly remembered.
