So sorry for your loss! Have such great Memories growing up with the Bucella family in Bayside! Dom was such a sweet man.
I remember going to The beach with the family and Debbie and I used to go visit 
Dom’s parents in Flushing where many a time Dom would be there!
Minnie, I know your heart is breaking but he lived a long and wonderful life with you by his side!

It says Add A Memory here. Well, Robert summed up almost all I wanted to share in his beautiful eulogy of his beautiful Father. Dom was the kindest gentlest man I have ever met, to no exaggeration. The food stories are all so true and funny, but they are also stories of an Italian generation I'm afraid is passing with great men like Dom...and his Dad, Pop Bucella! When my Dad said "we have to stop at Dom's house for 10 minutes", I knew it meant 3 hours. I'm not sure how Dom could create so much food, so quickly without any notice? When Dom came over for 'get-togethers' on weekends, we had to help him into the house with all the food he brought with him. It was his way of showing his love for your friendship. As great a man as Dom was is clear to all by the beautiful children he raised, and the marriage he built brick by brick with 'our' Minnie. My deepest sympathies  go out to Aunt Minnie, Carol, John, Robert, Nancy, Annemarie, Michael and all of your beautiful  grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Uncle Dom was a special man with the best smile and quiet sense of humor.  He loved to eat, but never ate too much and he loved his wine.  I will always remember all the wonderful times we had in my grandmother's basement and all the family parties.  Uncle Dom was always a fun participant.  Aunt Minnie and Uncle Dom were a very important part of my own family.  He will be missed by all of us.  May God take him into His Kingdom and may He watch over all of his beautiful family.    I am so sorry that we cannot be with you all during this very, very sad time, but please know that our prayers, thoughts and love are with you all.  God bless you,  Uncle Dom . Words cannot express the deep sadness that I feel.  My beloved uncle was and will always be an inspiration to myself and to everyone whose lives that he touched.  Uncle Dom was so giving and never expected any favors in return.  I  felt very blessed that he was my uncle.  When my own father died, he stepped in and filled the void and was always available if I needed any help or just a kind word.  I will miss the fruit salads, the wine and the sandwiches for the plane rides back from Florida.  You have left a huge void that can never be filled and will be deeply missed by all.
 

I feel very Blessed to call  Minnie and Dom my friends for the past 11 years, It seems like I have known them all my life.  We shared the same heart aches..the loss of a child...the Happiness of Our children, Grand-children and Great-grandchildren.
The passing of Dom  is a loss to so many..not only his Beautiful family, but all his friends. He was a kind,generous , loving Man whose pleasure was  in preparing bowls of Fruit salad and giving them to his neighbors...He will be missed, but he will Forever be in Our Heart..God Bless You All...Rosalie
