Edda Gentilella

Edda Gentilella, born in Italy, on June 23, 1934. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 15, 2026. Edda was the beloved wife of the late Rocco and a devoted mother to Anthony and his wife, Laurie, and Carmela and her husband, Jimmy. She was a loving grandmother to Michael and is also survived by her brother in Italy.

Edda found great joy in cooking and baking, bringing her family together through the love and traditions she cherished. Sunday dinners were a must in her home, creating special memories and keeping family close around the table. She lovingly shared her treasured recipes in a family cookbook so that everyone could continue to enjoy her delicious dishes and carry on her traditions for generations to come.

Each year, making homemade tomato sauce with her family was a special tradition, filled with love, laughter, and togetherness. Edda also had a love for flowers, which reflected the beauty and warmth she brought into the lives of those around her.

Edda's love was woven into every meal she prepared, every tradition she passed down, and every moment spent with her family. Her memory will live on in the cherished recipes, family gatherings, and traditions she leaves behind.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, US, on October 20, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 34-24 203rd St, Bayside, NY 11361, US, on October 21, 2026, from 9:45 am to 10:45 am.

Entombment will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Ave, Bronx, NY 10465, US, on October 21, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
