Gene was a gentleman, I enjoyed working with him and playing golf with him.  He will be missed.

Gene was my Sgt. In CWPS D1 in 1985. He always had a smile on his face and never seemed to let anything bother him.  Was a great books and good friend. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace my friend.

worked with gene in dist 4.  went on golf trips with him and other transit cops. played a lot of golf with him in the past few years.  no longer a foursome .  he will be missed

I have so many memories of Eugene from my childhood, that it's hard to know where to begin. He was always a kind, funny, good spirited man when I was around him. Eugene could really make you laugh out loud. He loved his family deeply. I am so sorry that he has passed on.

We worked together as rookies in District 4 with Ralph's Meinelschmidt as shift partners. He was a great guy, fun to be with. Gene introduced me to my first bar, Lou's. Our last tour was always a 4 to 4! He will be missed!

I worked with Gene at US Customs for a few years. He was a real gentleman. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to the family. I'll remember him in my prayers.

We were kids together and since I have been told I live in the past.  We played cowboys and indians .  He was always the Lone Ranger and I was Tonto.  He had a great sense of humor.  I am so sad and shocked.  All I can say is he is not in pain any longer

I worked with Gene in the Vandal Squad. He was a great boss and a good friend. Never had a meet a more nicer person then Gene. He will be missed. Sorry for your loss and my condolences to Gene's family. RIP my friend..

Gene was a colleague a good cop and a better man. I first met gene when he was a rookie in Dist4. I went on to become PBA president and gene's career took another route and he went on to become a Lieutenant. He will be missed by all who knew him. may he Rest in Peace.

Cops cop, great guy. I worked with Gene in District #4 he was such a nice person and made you laugh. Bill Davis and I made a collar on Bleeker Street and one perp fled down to the Bowery and East 3rd into a garage, Gene responded to the 10/13 and found the perp under a car in the garage.
