It was a good run. Our life together that started in that little house across Don Bosco. Walking our way to F. Tanedo street to our ancestral home to show our face to Apung Funtang, our grandmother. We made her feel glad and as reward we get cash for our return fare. You kept the cash and instead chose to walk our way back. You leading, I following because you have many years ahead of me. In our family, if you are a dettie or a sanko, you are blessed with the commands. F. Tanedo is the town’s main street and on its edges are open canals, ditches with stagnant sewage water. There was also the landmark Funeraria Gamalinda where you said there were dead bodies inside the display coffins. You pushed me into the open canals and the open caskets in your own mischievous way and belted a scream of what is now known as lol. Closer to home we stopped at New Life grocery and with your kept cash you got us each a red delicious apple. Many more togethers followed after. Vancouver, Japan, BalikBayan to Tarlac. But what’s remarkable are the in-betweens. Your commitment to help the family: Your brother, nieces, grand nephews. Your continuing want and help better their lives. Your devotion to your faith and your loving care to your church community is an inspiration to us all. This not goodbye. Instead I see it your go-ahead after this life and get this road paved with no ditches, no missteps for me and for us towards the Highway to Heaven.

Fe,

Until now, I can't believe that you've really said goodbye to all of us. I will surely miss seeing you by the guard booth almost every day after work. The jokes that we often share with each other regarding our limo will surely be missed. You won't be bothered by my repeated request for a Vendor ID anymore, hahaha... but those are some of my fun moments coz it gave me a chance to talk to you over the phone and say hello even just for a few seconds during our very busy work schedule.

May you rest in peace.

You will always occupy a space in my heart!

Auntie Fe,
2016, that was the year i actually saw you in person. I want you to know that even though i had spent little moments with you it feels like we've been so close together that i had known you so well. I will treasure those moments i had with you. And God knows how i am so blessed to have you in my life. I know you're in a quiet and peaceful place but deep inside i am so lonely knowing that we can't bond again but you'll always here in my heart. You have the biggest part in my life because without you i cannot pursue my bachelor degree. Thank you so much, for the chance you had given for allowing me to finish my studies. So, i am sending my graduation creative shot together with the picture of you, Auntie Adela, and my papa. You are my inspiration why i pushed myself to graduate with honors and this is all for you. Without you, i am nothing. Thank you for the love and support. Though you are not here but you will stays in my heart and mind. No one can replace you for being my Auntie. Thank you for the lovely memories, your advises, and your kindness. I love you as always. Until we meet soon.
You may rest in peace my Auntie Fe, you will never be forgotten. Just know we loved you so much.
