We spent Christmas and Thanksgiving together…. Often Christmas at Niki’s place sometimes Thanksgiving at ours.  It was so lovely …we would hold hands and she would make all of us to say what we are thankful for … Margo and Olga had fun spending time with Jason - he was so excited ….!  
Antios Theia Niki …. we will miss you a lot.

My beautiful Nouna.. I am still in disbelief that you are no longer with us. I will always remember you. Thank you for opening your home to me when I wanted to start my adventure in NYC.  You were one strong woman who always pushed and inspired everyone around you to always do better. Your enthusiasm and positivity will be missed.  May your memory be eternal.

I was lucky and blessed to have worked with Niki at PS149.  She was kind, sweet and always willing to help.  She used to make kourambiedes and share them with us. She shared her recipe,  so I make the cookies in her name. She taught me how to knit. She was very excited to see my first scarf. When I showed her she was too kind to tell me the truth.  She took it home and fixed it.  So I also have a scarf made by her.  My condolences to her family. I am grateful to have known her.

I knew Niki during our years at PS 149.  She was an incredible human being, hard working individual.  Loyal to all her colleagues.  She loved the students and she loved her job.  There was nothing she would not do at the school.  We, the school and colleagues  were lucky to have known her. 
Despite the years since your retirement and the loss of contact, you have always held a special place in my heart Niki.  Tomorrow as I visit you one last time I will wear the scarf you so lovingly knitted for me.
Rest in Peace my dear Niki, you are now in a paradise where nothing and no one can hurt you.  With so much love from Betty Jaime

It was a happy time when my father Kostas’s siblings were returning home. Alkis  from Sweden; Lambros  from Katerini, Greece; Vangelio
from Germany; and Niki (or Spyros not in the picture) from New York.  There was often singing and dancing with the lunch or dinner, and a lot of story telling. Unforgettable moments! 
Theia Niki you were the last of the six to go. Please greet them all…. and rest in peace with them.

July 1983: I came from Greece to do my Ph.D. at City College of CUNY. Uncle Spyros took me from the airport and I stayed with him and his family the first night. The next day, he took me to theia Niki’s home. Olga was about 6 years old and Margo a baby of 3 months. I was welcomed at their home and stayed with them the whole Summer, and Theia Niki’s family became my family in New York.

Niki was my beloved grandma, and always will be. I loved her with my heart and still do, I remember when she was in a nursing home, and we would always visit her, but she got very sick… and soon passed. We love you yaiya Niki, all prayers go to you ❤️🙏💐🕯️

My name is Debra! I worked with Nikki at PS 149Q. Nikki was a warm, caring friendly and energetic person. She always had a smile on her face. She loved to work with the students. The students loved being around her. Nikki always had a kindcword to say about everyone. My Prayers go out to the family for the loss of a wonderful person. I will miss her smile and thecway she always made time to talk. G-d has a new Angel and her name is Nikki! May she Rest In Peace.
