Floyd Anthony Oden

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Floyd Oden, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who touched the lives of so many with his strength, humor, and unforgettable presence.

Born in Brooklyn to Beverly and Floyd Oden, Floyd Oden was raised in Queens, NY where he built lifelong friendships and developed the strong values that would guide him throughout his life. He proudly dedicated over 40 years of service as an IBEW union journeyman, earning the respect of his coworkers through his hard work, dedication, and skill.

Floyd Oden was a man who could light up any room. Known as the life of the party, he brought laughter, stories, and energy wherever he went. While he could be stern at times, those who knew him best understood that beneath his toughness was a deeply loving and caring man who would do anything for the people he loved.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through his son, Antonio Oden; his beloved grandson, Khari Oden; and his brother, Terrence Oden. He will also be deeply missed by extended family, friends, coworkers, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing him.

Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit, wisdom, and memories will remain in our hearts forever.
