She was the beloved wife of John Brandl (60 years) and a loving mother to John (Maria) Brandl and Dawn (Michael O'Neill) Brandl. Frances was a cherished nonna to Marissa, John, Dillon, and Grace. She was also a dear sister to Joseph Surace, and the late Fortunato Surace and Donato Surace.
Frances was deeply devoted to her family, and her pride and joy were her grandchildren. She had a great love for cooking, and the joy of preparing meals for those she loved brought her much happiness. Frances was an avid reader, always immersed in books and newspapers, staying informed and engaged with the world around her.
The family will be receiving visitors on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 34-24 203rd St, New York, NY 11361. Interment will follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, New York, NY 11365.
