Son, Father, Husband, Grandfather, Great-grandfather,  but known by the family as Uncle Junior, or by his siblings, cousins, friends and piers as simply.........  junior. Born in Brooklyn New York before the Great Depression of 1929, and growing up during that turmoultuous era, at the request of his Mother and without question, at the age of 17 years old he enlisted into the United States Army to serve in active duty in World War ll, with his mothers consent He served his country to keep his older brother at home to run the family business. During that time he sent his monthly pay home to his Mother so as to help her and his eight siblings. At the end of the war he was honored with the Victory Medal and received an Honerable Discharge. He then renlisted  in peace time in the United States Navy reserves to serve his country once again. When he finally returned home with a second Honerable Discharge he came home to work with his brothers in the family business. As time went on he finally married in 1960 and had four boys shortly after. Still working in the family trucking business and becoming a teamster by joining the union, he than retired in 1987. That same year he became a Grandfather......... eventually 9 times over. He worked for more than 45 years and enjoyed more than 33 in retirement, more than most people work in a lifetime. In 2020 he became a Great-grandfather. His booming voice and larger than life personality and endless jokes is what will be remembered and sorely missed most of all. When asked if he would make a 100 years old he said no problem. When also asked if he would like to live to 110 years old he simple said "ill take" but he still has a long journey yet to come. And that is to make it to the other side of the mountain. And that is something that he now only knows, not any of us, because we are not there with him just yet.

Beloved father, brother, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to all who knew and loved such a memorable spirit. In honor of my uncle who graced us with his distinct personality, stories of his time in the military and a unique sense of humor. Until we all meet again. Peacefully, your loving niece.

And finally becoming a Great-grandfather 2020.  A booming voice, larger than life personality, more jokes than a comedian, he was taken way to soon. He always said he could make it to 100 years old. And when asked what if we could give you 110 years old, his response was simply....... "I'll take it"

Always will remember your wit, humor, and your visits.  As well as your favorite dishes and ice cream and desserts. Rest Easy on your journey home.  Fly with the angels.
