George Lafasakis

George was the beloved husband of Mary. He was a loving father of Michael (Erika) Lafasakis and Angela Lafasakis, and a cherished poppou of George and Michael Angelo Lafasakis. He was also the dear brother of Manoli and Popi.

George found steady joy in the simple, meaningful rhythms of life—vacations in Greece that kept him close to what he loved, and the everyday comfort of music and coffee shared with friends. In these moments, his appreciation for connection and tradition was quietly evident, and his presence brought warmth and constancy to those around him.

A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Shrine Church, 196-10 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY 11358, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 9:00 am.

Interment will follow at Flushing Cemetery, 163-06 46th Ave, Flushing, NY 11358.
