Gerard is survived by his sisters Margaret Kelly, Ellen Kelly (Jack), Anne Kelly, Irene Kelly Fischer, and Susie Rugolo (Michael).
He was Uncle to Patrick Barry, Elizabeth Barry, Rebecca DeSouza, Karen DeSouza, Kaitlin Fischer (Dane), Alex Fischer and Michael G. Fischer, Jeremy Rugolo and Jonathan Rugolo.
Gerard worked for the New York Housing Authority for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an avid fan of New York sports.
A funeral mass will occur, Friday August 7, 2026, at 9:45 AM at St Kevin’s RC Church, 45-21 194th Street, Flushing, New York 11358.
Burial will follow at Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Flushing, New York.
