Zia,

I will always have the greatest memories of visiting in NY with you always having us over, or you visiting Canada and hearing all the stories of my dad when he was young. You are the most generous woman I have ever met, I am proud to be known as your niece. You are the best big sister to my dad, and wonder, dedicated mother to my dear cousins, and a beautiful wife to my uncle. I will always have etched in my brain you always saying ‘mangia mangia so you are grande’.

Ti Amo Zia!

Dear Giuseppina:

There are way to many memories for me to pick just one. I basically grew up in your house so I think its more appropriate I say thank you. Thank you for always making me feel like another daughter. You are such a kind person and an amazing cook. Thank you for making an extra batch of struffoli for me because you knew I loved them. I will always remember traveling somewhere and sitting in the middle front seat next to you. Thank you for always thinking of me and inviting me over. But what I really want to thank you for is being my Mom’s best friend. Whenever I talk to my mom and ask her what’s new or what she was up to you were always mentioned, whether it was she went shopping with you or out to lunch. When I would talk to you you would say “we spend some time together”. It always made me happy knowing my mom had someone as special as you in her life. Giuseppina you will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten.

Love you,
Flavia

Dear Antonio , Fran and family . My deepest condolences to you all. I was so honoured to have known such a beautiful lady with such a caring heart. I have many Memories of Josephine when I came to New York to visit my Aunt Dolores, no sooner would I walk through the door and the phone would ring and it was Josephine to ask if I arrived. 5 mins later Josephine and Tony would arrive to see me . I have a lot of good memories whether it was shopping or having a BBQ at her house or the many times they came to Canada and would visit us even if it was for 5 minutes. The best memory I recall was the big picnic at Queenston Heights with our family and her Canadian family Fran I believe you remember this day . Memories we will cherish forever. RIP beautiful Josephine you will forever be in my heart ❤️

My mother was a beautiful, selfless and caring lady. She always put her family first. She would be the last to sit at the table to be sure everyone had what they needed. We would always tell her "Ma, viene a sederti” and she would reply start without me. My father and mother were inseparable and did everything together. It has been an honor and a privilege to be chosen to be her daughter. She will be missed everyday but I know that I will carry her in my memories and heart forever. Rest in peace.

Fran has said it best our mother was a beautiful caring woman.
Who thought of everyone but herself, my dad and her daughters were her first priority. Her grandchildren her world. I will miss
the visit where we always shared a cup of espresso and had great conversations. Always speaking of her childhood and her life in Italy before coming to the US. I know she will be watching over all of us. RIP mamma , ti vogliamo bene

They broke the mold when my mother was born. A strong woman, a caring woman, a selfless woman. She didn't know how not to do for others. You wanted to eat, she cooked from scratch. She took care of us all. My father was her hero. A long and beautiful life she lived... I couldn't have asked for a better experience or a better life growing up. It was fulfilling and there was love... the word may not have been used but it was felt and there was never a doubt about it. I saw my mom pretty much every day of my life and there will be a void from now on but I have to believe that she will be with me and watching me. Maybe now with her watching me every minute there will be brighter days ahead. RIP Mamma mia.
