

Born in Lentini Sicily, September 2, 1919, to Sebastiano Mangani and Marianna Patania she was the eldest of eight children. She married Pancrazio (Benny) Capolarello and migrated to the US in 1946, where she began her exceptional new life in America. They settled, in Bayside New York, on Oceania Street where she lived as a strong, fiercely independent women up until she was 97 when she moved into assisted living for her remaining years.
Grace worked as a talented, expert seamstress for many years. She always enjoyed trips to Italy over the years to see her family, senior citizen events at St Robert's and St. Kevin's, bus trips to Atlantic City, celebrating the holidays "Italian Style" and many family celebrations. She always took great pride in dressing beautifully for every occasion.
Grace was predeceased by her husband Pancrazio (Benny) since 1980. She is survived by their four children; Mario, Domenica "Mimma" (Ray), Domenico (Debra) and Mary Ann. Six grandchildren; Linette Faster-Giuliano, Darlene Burmann (Mike), Victor Faster (Karyn), Russel Corbo, Domenico Capolarello (Alyson), Nicole Capolarello, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two remaining sisters; Lucia Gomez and Vittoria Bommarito in Florida and many nieces and nephews in the US and Italy.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in memory of Grace Capolarello.
