

Ilias Laoutaris, a beloved and cherished resident of Richmond Hill, New York, passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on February 3, 1938 in Kythnos, Greece., Ilias was known for being a hard-working, honest, and kind-hearted individual. He was a simple man who made a significant impact on those around him.
Ilias was a talented painter who had a particular fondness for neutral colors, especially beige. His work was a testament to his dedication and passion for his craft.
He was the devoted husband of Eleni and a loving father to Natasha, Sophia and her husband, Georgios Massalas. Ilias was an adored Pappou to Elias, Yiannaki, Nikolaki, Katerinoula Eleni, and Eleni Maria , who will all miss him dearly. He will be missed by his beloved dog, Buddy. Ilias was a dear cousin to Emmanuel Laoutaris.
A visitation will be held at St. Demetrios' Greek Orthodox Church, located at 84-35 152nd St, New York, NY 11432, on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 9:00 am to 9:30 am. The funeral liturgy will follow at the same location from 9:30 am to 10:00 am. An interment service will take place at Flushing Cemetery, 163-06 46th Avenue, Flushing, NY 11358.
Ilias will be remembered for his kindness and the joy he brought to his family and friends.
