OBITUARY

James Murphy

June 9, 1934February 18, 2021

James Murphy (Uncle Harry as he was known to us) was always a big part of our family and will be greatly missed. Growing up we have so many fond memories of Uncle Harry, Aunt Helen and our Grandfather while he was still alive spending almost every Sunday and most holidays together at our house on Long Island. Not having children of their own, Uncle Harry and Aunt Helen spoiled us like their own. Weddings, christenings, communions and birthdays Uncle Harry would never miss any. He was a hard working iron worker, a devout catholic as well as a devoted husband who enjoyed playing the ponies every now and then…haha. Most of all, Uncle harry was a selfless caregiver to our Aunt Helen for many years. She was the love of his life and not for one moment did he put his needs or wants before the needs of hers. Uncle Harry you will be missed by your family and friends but knowing that you are now back together with Aunt Helen will ease our pain. Rest In Peace. We love you Uncle. Tom, Monica, Lynn and Brian

Uncle Harry, you are now with the love of your life, Auntie Helen. I will miss seeing you at our family gathering, but know in my heart you are resting easy with Auntie Helen, Uncle Tommy, Auntie Bonnie, my dad, Tommy Doyle, Gram (Nana), and Auntie Ann. I have many fond memories of you, from the holidays/parties at the Jermyn's, to Christmas at my mom's. I will never forget, and laugh to this day about the greatest present you made for Auntie Helen. She said, who ever Harry has for the Christmas swap, is going to get the best present ever, he worked hours making his gift. As it turned out, you had her and she was so excited to open the gift!! When she opened it, I can still hear her, Harry, what is this??? He told you, It's two clip boards for you to do your crosswords on, One blue for raining days or when you're feeling blue and one yellow for sunny days or days you're feeling happy! I will never forget that and I will never forget you!. May all your days be sunny in heaven with Auntie Helen. May you rest in peace. Love Christine

To the memory of my beloved friend and my Harry Potter (how I used to call him) ... you have left a big hole in my heart,... to be able to see you every day at 2o'clock in the afternoon 5 days a week for the last 9years , was a blessing for my life. I will miss you dearly. The last phone call on Tuesday the 16th of February will be in my memory for as long as I live. I have learned to love you like you were part of my family. So long my dear HARRY POTTER...May God rest your soul in peace and finally be with your beautiful wife.
Our deepest condolences to the family from my own family ....Mauricio,Claudia, Noelia, Gabriela and Camila Salinas.
