James and I become close friends over the years. He was a good man and loved his daughter dearly. We both teased each other a lot and joke around. I’m going to miss him dearly! My deepest condolences to his daughters and closed loved ones.

Jim was a good and kind man. He and I were scary similar, we thought the same way about many things. A great man I will miss dearly. God bless his family he loved his girls greatly. The time he spent with them was his best time. A good friend for 30 years I' ll never forget

The laughs I had from your dry wit will last a lifetime. Thanks for teaching me a lot about construction, find finish work, and the laws of physics and electricity in the workshop below McGonnell’s Bar. Say hi to sister Mary and mom for us. We’ll see you when it’s our time. Tim, Chris, and Kevin Johnson

Jimmy always breaks my chops about using the heel (my favorite) when I opened a fresh loaf of bread. He insists that I should leave it in there to keep the next slice fresh until the end. Not a bad idea actually 'cause then the last sandwich will be with 2 heels. And he always insisted on his PBJ's toasted when we broke for lunch.
I was told as a child that I have a Guardian Angel. Actually I know that we have a lot more than one. I don't think God micromanages; he leaves it to our friends and kin in heaven to take turns looking in on us and perhaps pulling strings as needed. I will still have his voice in my head often 'cause I know that he will be checking in. See you soon, Jim.
