Joanne Ricchiuti. The brightest of stars left us on February 4, 2016, at the age of 72. Joanne, “JR” to her friends, was born on October 25, 1943, to Barbara and Peter Failla. She had one child -- a daughter, Lisa -- but was a mother and mentor to all who knew her. Although Joanne finished her career working in a local marshal’s office, her true calling was her culinary skill. She spent many years working as a chef, and her delicious recipes will forever adorn our plates. Joanne most enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by Lisa; a brother, Anthony Failla; an ex-husband, Andrew Ricchiuti; nieces Toni Curtis and Deanna Zeitner; their respective husbands, each named Paul; a nephew, Peter Failla; a son-in-law, Glenn Koch; and many cousins.
