John A. Horan

Born in the Bronx to Timothy and Katherine, he spent his life welcoming his loved ones into his heart and home, traveling the world with his good friends, tending to his garden, and barbecuing on Football Sundays. He held the best Christmas parties.

John worked as an Operating Engineer for Rudin Management with his fellow workmates at 40 East 52nd Street in NYC.

John is remembered for his welcoming heart, ALL things Irish, British Comedy, and everything beach related. He loved the ocean, sun, bicycling with his friends, and communing with loved ones around the kitchen table. His door was always open and friends dropped by at any time of day.

Visitation will be held at Quinn Fogarty Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, US, on August 19, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and again on August 19, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass celebrating John's life will be held at St. Luke Roman Catholic Church, 16-34 Clintonville St, Whitestone, NY 11357, on Thursday, August 20, 2026, 10:15 am.

Graveside service to follow at Mt St Mary's Cemetery 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave Flushing, NY 11365.
