John Voiklis

John Voiklis, a beloved resident of Greenport, New York, passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on December 19, 1932, in Samos, Greece, John lived a life full of warmth and dedication to his family and community.

John's career was marked by his work as a waiter at the Palace Hotel in New York City, where he was known for his exceptional service and friendly demeanor.

In his personal life, John was a devoted husband to Anna and a loving father to his children, Cally Stefanidis, Maria Voiklis, and Jimmy Voiklis. He was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

John had a passion for fishing, a hobby that brought him peace and happiness throughout his life.

Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 196-10 Northern Blvd, New York, NY 11358, 11:00 am, Monday on November 24, 2025.

This will be followed by the committal service at St. Michael's Cemetery - Mausoleums, 72-02 Astoria Blvd S, East Elmhurst, NY 11370.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which can be done through their website at https://www.stjude.org/donate.
