A humble man who never wanted to be the center of attention.  Always willing to give and expecting nothing in return.  Your honesty, loyalty, and love helped guide us. We are so blessed that you were in our lives everyday.  We will miss your corny jokes, views on life and many funny stories. Thank you for loving and taking care of us for all those years. Uncle Joe,
I will miss that great smile and kind heart.  You were not only  my godfather but my favorite uncle. I have wonderful memories of spending summer vacations in Flushing and feeling like your fourth daughter.  I didn't care that you took Billy to the Mets games because I would then have the girls to myself. May you sleep peacefully love you always...

Uncle Joe you were such a big part of my life.  You were often father/ grandfather to me. I remember how you used to slip me money whenever we would visit. It made me feel special. You always made me feel like I was one of your own.  How many nights did I spend at your kitchen table?  I always felt welcome...in your home and your heart.  One of the best childhood memory I have is the trip to Frank Davis Resort. Remember the silly hat contest?  "That's a spicy meata-ball". I love you Uncle Joe

It was an honor and pleasure to be with you all these years and never a cross word between us. You were a father and most of all my friend. You will always be with me. Love your son John...

Through pictures, stories, and our visits I know that Uncle Joey was an amazing man who lived a good life. He was a dutiful brother to my great grandma, who doted on him on his visits to California. He was more of a brother than an uncle to my Grammy and uncles Frankie and Charlie.  I always admired the relationship he had with my father, which was filled with lots of laughs and stories. Then there was his patience with me. He would endure my constant questions and quizzing about family history, and would always ask about the family out west, and of course about my walk from the subway up to his house. 

My first east coast memories were made in his home and I will cherish them forever. His last visit to California for my fathers funeral was bittersweet. Stealing wine, singing and dancing with Jimmy Nat is just what we needed to help us through that hard day- and a sight I will never forget. We have lost so many amazing people through the years and it makes me incredibly sad to add Uncle Joey to that list. I know he is in the best of company and at rest, and that he lived a full life that I respect and admire. 

Uncle Joe set a great example for our family that I hope will live on, and I am so thankful for the relationship I have with the Gagliostro's. To my Aunt Rosie and family, I love you and hope that you find peace in knowing that Uncle Joey was a gem in my life and will be truly missed by our family.

Though our interactions were few, I know how special he was to Michelle, and it's through her I know that he was loved and appreciated, and that he will be missed.

Poppa,
You were always there for me as far back as I can remember. Everyday you would pick me up from school and we would stop at the candy store. You cheered me on at my basketball games and attended every school event. I will miss you forever and even though I can't see you I know you are right by my side. I love you...

Dear Uncle Joe,
You were like a father to me and I will treasure all the wonderful years we celebrated together. May you sleep in eternal peace. Love you always...

My Uncle Joe,
I have such fond memories of you as I grew up. Our family holidays together watching you,daddy and Uncle Steve playing cards and us hiding in Aunt Rosie's closet. You were a kind wonderful man who raised the sweetest most wonderful girls who continue to make holidays and gatherings so special. I love you and hope you are where your heart most wanted to be. Rest in Peace...

Dear Poppa, I'm going to miss you but I know your finally at peace now and with June. I'll never forget all the little lessons you taught me in life and I can clearly hear you say "Lauren now listen to Poppa" even though half the time I didn't listen to you. Yes, I have stubbornness in my personality I guess I got it from you! :)  the day we buried you I had a flash of a lifetime of memories. Remember when you just painted the house white and I splashed red all over the white? Or when you deweeded the front yard and I threw all the grass seed in the flower garden? Yes, I was a handful but you never turned down babysitting me! You were always there for me and I will love you forever. Happy Father's Day Poppa and give Junie hugs and kisses from me.

Our heart goes out to you and your family during this difficult  loss.  Remember that the greatest compliment to someone who has passed, is to live your life and keep their memory alive.

I feel so blessed to have known Grandpa Joe. He was so easy to love and raised a family that is so special to me. Let your memories bring you comfort and peace knowing that God thought it was time for Aunt June to see her daddy. He will be so very missed. All my love and condolences to my other loving family. Dear Dad,

For a kid who grew up without a father, I manage to fix or build whatever I need to, I have you to thank for that. May the Angels meet you at the Gate to carry you home.

Joe you will be forever missed by all, It won't be the same going out to Flushing an not seeing you there but I know you will be watching down on all of us looking after us all, I ll never forget the fun times espically out in California when you and my grandfather stole all that wine an napkins lol rest easy Joe

I have so many wonderful memories of your Dad. He always helped me with my school projects. I remember how much he loved to garden.  May your memories keep him in your heart always
