Josephine Vaccaro

Josie died at the age of 82 on October 26, 2014 after a long bout with cancer. Josie retired from Queens General Hospital in New York after many years, eventually moving to Florida at the Bluffs in Jupiter. She volunteered to work at Jupiter Medical Center for years. Josie was also a volunteer at the Maltz Theatre. She was active at St. Patrick Church making shawls for victims of cancer.

Josie leaves behind her husband of almost 60 years, Neal, and 2 sons Neal A. and Michael; 6 grandchildren Jason, Geisha, Joanna, Erica, Amanda, and last but not least Anniela. Also survived by her brother, Emanuel, and in laws Steve, Michael, and Debra.

The Vaccaro Family will be receiving visitors Sunday, November 2nd from 2-5 and 7-9pm at the Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, New York 11358. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 10am, Holy Family RC Church, Utopia Parkway and 73rd Avenue, Fresh Meadows, New York. Interment to follow at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Flushing, New York
