

Julie A. Pichardo, 57, of Muttontown, New York, passed away on June 20, 2015, with her family at bedside. She was born in Manhattan on August 2, 1957. She was graduated from Queens College and was a recipient of a full academic scholarship from the Albany Law School of Union University where she received her Juris Doctor degree in 1982. She was married to Joseph P. Awad, Jr. on August 26, 1983, at St. Nicholas of Tolentine in Queens, New York.
Ms. Pichardo pursued a private practice in real estate and bankruptcy law owning her own practice in Garden City, New York. She had a passion for the New York Yankees, world travel, and Fire Island. She is survived by her two daughters, Alexandria Awad and Ariana Awad, her mother Ana Almanzar, brothers Nelson Pichardo and Robert Pichardo, and sister Annabelle Pichardo, as well as her father-in-law Joseph P. Awad Sr., and brother and sister-in-law James and Maureen Awad; predeceased by her father Julio Pichardo, brother Austin Pichardo, and mother-in-law Theresa Awad. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Calling hours will be held at the Frederick Funeral Home in Flushing, New York on Tuesday, June 23rd from 2PM-5PM, and 6PM-9PM. There will be a mass service at St. Nicholas of Tolentine in Queens, New York on Wednesday morning at 10:30AM. You may leave condolences at: www.frederick-fh.com.
