Junior, remembering a strong, loving and funny brother.

Even though we did not see each other a lot , you are always in our hearts . Michael and I will miss very much . We remember how funny you were  especially when  you were silly acting like a scarecrow laying down on the hay stacks at the farm store. We had  good times always. You had a great sense of humor. You were a great brother.

Our deepest condolences over the loss of our family member that held memorable family gatherings, BBQS, and wonderful Christmas gatherings ... our children Kimi and Gary, were always ecstatic to be a part of.  A proud Marine to the end, he shared all sorts of military stories with another marine brother, Ruben, who loved him, but loved to tease him just for the fun of it ... driving my sister and I up the wall. 

He was a member of New York’s finest and worked his way up from a patrol officer to a Gold Shield detective.  He often voiced how he loved being a part of this too.  A brother-in-law who had a good sense of humor, especially while dancing and twisting his legs Elvis Presley style.  Sadly towards the latter part of his life he encountered all sorts of medical problems.  Lucky for him, his wife Helen, my sister, was always by his side through the good times  and the sad years.  A sister who, as a child, would cry at the drop of a hat, but grew up to become such a strong role model.  
Good Bye Julio, our brother, Rest In Peace!!

Helen and family, I’m so sorry for your loss. Julio was an amazing friend to my father and to my family. I’ll forever have fond memories of us all going to church on Sunday together and of the many meals, fundraisers and events. Julio, thank you for encouraging my dad to bring us to church.  My life wouldn’t be the same without all I learned at Our Saviour Jamaica. And thank you for your kindness, helpfulness and love you always showed us. Rest In Peace.

Dear Dad, I miss you an the good times we had. I was your assistant with the grocery shopping, home repairs, an the Xmas tree selection. I remember you buying me a coupon wallet for our outings. It was useful but not quite the present I was hoping for ,an we laughed about it many times. . It became our private joke. We had many laughs in the the Dodge van we listened to great music ,and sang ,and played pretend instruments on our adventures ,those are memories I won’t forget. I especially liked our Tony Orlando duets. Dad thank you for being so understanding when I needed to talk about topics that weren’t easy. You knew I was rebellious ,but  also knew I’d always be resilient to figure things out. I love you for loving me , no matter what you supported me , and I know you will watch over me . Rest In Peace Daddy. I love you. 

Grandpa,

Your love knew no bounds! From childhood to adulthood you knew how to bring the brightest smiles across my face. 

My heart will always belong to you. Your love of boxing is the reason I’m training today. I didn’t realize it at first, but you are the influence in the fighter in me. You always taught me to be resilient and strong. I hope that the person I am and the person I become will continue to make you proud.

I know you are always with me, and that every time I train I honor you.

There are not enough words to express how much you are loved, and how much I will miss you. I could not have asked for a better dad, a more generous and giving dad.  Dad you have always been my hero, and have been there for all of us. Thank you for the wonderful memories and life you created for this very grateful  daughter . I love you.
