With humble acceptance of God's will and with deep sorrow we announce the untimely passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend Konstantinos “Gus” Soumalas. May we all remember the character that he was and his forthright approach to life! He had a compassionate heart of gold for the ones he loved and so, may his memory be eternal. He fought a determined and brave fight, until the end.
Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral, this Friday, Sept 11th, 2026 beginning with a viewing at 11:30 am at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 84-35 152nd St, Jamaica, NY 11432, followed by the Funeral Service at 12:00 pm.
The burial service and final prayers will take place at Flushing Cemetery, 163-06 46th Ave, Flushing, NY 11358, on September 11th, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
The church does not accept flowers.
In lieu of any flowers, kindly send a small donation to a non for profit of your choice in his name.
