Lena Mercatante passed away peacefully on April 11, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Anthony. Loving mother of Anthony J and Angela, Frank and Sari, Salvatore and Joanne & Joseph and Lisa. Cherished grandmother of Anthony, Stephen, Jennifer, Salvatore, Thomas, Danny, Marlene, Frank and David.Devoted great grandmother of Alex and Zachary. Dear sister of Carmela Montagano and the late Lucy Simonetti. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

The Mercatante family will be receiving visitors at the Frederick Funeral Home on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 7-9pm and on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 2-5 and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 9:45am, Mary's Nativity RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
