

With deep sadness and enduring love, we announce the passing of Lois Marie Moreno, who left this world peacefully on August 25, 2025, just 5 days shy of her 77th birthday. Lois was born on August 30, 1948 and during her lifetime, she touched countless hearts with her kindness, generosity and unwavering devotion to her family.
Lois is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Moreno, who stood by her side through a lifetime of love and devotion. She was the cherished mother to Lisa Moreno Diaz (Jose Diaz), Jennifer Moreno and Alexis Moreno Vasquez (Jonathan Vasquez), and a proud nurturing grandmother to Alexander, Hailey, Nathaniel and Addison.
Lois is also survived by her dear sisters, Virgina and Lynnann as well as her sister-at-heart Jenny, whose bond with Lois was rooted in a lifelong friendship and sisterly love.
Lois will be remembered for her quiet strength, her generous heart, and the unwavering love she gave to her family, and friends. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the memories she helped create – filled with laughter, compassion, warmth and grace.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all that knew and loved her.
Visitation services will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, located at 141-36 77th Ave, Kew Gardens Hills, NY 11367, 10 AM, on Wednesday September 3, 2025.
A graveside service will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, located at 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
