I don't think any of us knows the right thing to say when we lose someone we love. We all know death is an inevitable reality of life but yet we grieve the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the memory of my father's life. He definitely lived a full life and was able to share the company of his devoted family until his last days. I feel blessed for having the opportunity to visit him recently and enjoy his company one last time. He had a chance to meet and spend some time with two of his grandchildren. Most of all we had a chance to hug him and tell him we loved him one last time before we said our goodbyes. My heart hurts because I know he is not here anymore but at the same time I am happy knowing he is not suffering. So until we meet again, I just want to say rest peacefully. We all love you Papi.
