Maria Desena

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Maria was beloved for the quiet ways she showed love each day. As a homemaker, she poured herself into caring for her family, and she was especially known as a great cook—nourishing others not only with meals, but with the warmth and comfort that gathered people together.

Maria is survived by her husband, Emanuel; her son, Anthony and his wife Angela; her daughter, Caroline and her husband Daniel; and her three grandchildren, Daniel, Ashley, and Sara.

Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on July 1, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Andrew Avellino Roman Catholic Church, 35-60 158th St, Flushing , NY 11358, on July 2, 2026, at 9:45 am.

A Committal Service will follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, Flushing, NY 11365.
