Marie Crook passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 31, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Loving mother of Barbara ( Doug) Kennedy, Joseph ( Cynthia) Crook and James ( Barbara) Crook. Cherished grandmother of Lauren, Kathryn and Kristen Kennedy, Joseph and Jennifer Crook. Dear sister of Helen Smith. Reposing at the Frederick Funeral Home 192-15 Northern Blvd., Flushing, NY 11358. Visiting hours on Thursday from 2-5 & 7-9PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 9:30am from St. Andrew Avellino RC Church. Interment to follow at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery.

Those who knew Marie, knew of her great affection for dogs. Even with her advancing dementia, she was always checking to see that the dogs were fed and had enough water. They were never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, we ask that a contribution be made to Little Shelter to support their rescue, care and adoption work for dogs and cats.
