
She was born in Isle of Pines, Cuba. She graduated as a teacher from Escuela Normal de la Habana in 1947. She loved children and she taught in the inner city schools in Havana where she was appreciated for her generosity buying school supplies and Christmas presents for her students who could not afford them. She faced many life adversities with courage and determination and always kept a sense of humor. She loved tango music, dancing and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
She leaves a daughter Mercedes Hurley; a son Juan Trillo and his wife Patricia; a daughter Sara Adams and her husband David; a son Carlos Trillo and his wife Lori; three grandchildren Juan Carlos, Christina and Juan Arturo. She was predeceased by her husband Juan, her son Roberto and her son-in-law John.
Her family is eternally grateful to her caregivers at Prince of Peace, ALF in Miami and to the Seasons Hospice team for their compassionate care.

Arrangements under the direction of Quinn - Fogarty Funeral Home, Flushing, NY.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24th from 2-5 and 7-9 pm
Funeral is scheduled for Saturday, June 25th, 10:30 am at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Forest Hills, New York.
Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, New York.
