He was predeceased by Nellie, his wife and the love of his life. He is survived by his 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren with one on the way. Michael was born on September 3, 1925 in Hell’s Kitchen. He was a proud veteran of the USMC and had a long and successful career as a textile salesman. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, never missing a Yankee or Knick game. However, Michael was most passionate about the New York Football Giants, having season tickets for over 40 years. His other passion was taking trips to Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Connecticut or the Caribbean to try his luck at the gaming tables. Michael loved to entertain people with a story or a joke. The family will be gathering at his favorite Italian restaurant to celebrate his life by raising a toast with his favorite 7&7.
The family of Michael will be receiving visitors, Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 9:45AM at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 34-24 203rd Street, Bayside, NY 11361. The interment will follow Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, 170-00 Booth Memorial Avnue, Flushing, NY 11365.
