He was a man of very few words, so when he did speak everyone listened.
His smile and laughter would light up the room.  
He was kind and patient and would never tell us no. 

Not many people I know had the pleasure of growing up right next door to their grandparents. But we did. I always remember spending weekends at your house and you and grandma taking us to hagan daz and sizzlers almost every Friday night. 
Swimming in the pool with you on hot summer days , eating  your delicious  BBQ, and although I never ate it, you made a slammin pig. 

I remember even the littlest things like watching tv with you and you changing the channel the minute someone got up :). Or our family dinners with you at the head of the table with the toothpick in your Mouth. 

I remember seeing your face at my soccer games and quietly cheering me on. 

I loved our trips to Uruguay and hearing you yell NENA!!!! 

But my favorite memory of all is how you took my hand and lead me in a dance at my wedding. You had the best moves. 

There are countless memories with you that will live on in our hearts forever. I couldn’t of painted a better picture of what an incredible grandfather you were to me, Nicole and Christopher and what an even better great-grandfather you were to reilley nolan Mya Valentina and although short lived ,Emmie.  
You’re simply the best. 

So I end with this…

Papa-your love , your patience, your stubbornness, your amazing sense of humor and that beautiful smile of yours will live on inside us forever. You have given us gifts that are more precious than anything in this world.

Thank you for being the best grandfather I could of ever asked for. 

I love you papa 
May you rest in eternal peace.
