

Nikolaos Serves passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026 at the age of 76. He leaves behind a brother Vasili, a son and daughter-in-law, Angelos and Nadia Serves a daughter and son-in-law Aspasia and Nicholaos Hatzoglu and six beautiful grandchildren, Alexandra, Anna and Nicholas Serves and Anna, Kalliopi and Ioannis Hatzoglu
Nicholas was born in Greece, a homeland he carried with him always in his values, his warmth and his love of family. He later came to the United States, where he built a life and a family that meant everything to him.
Above all Nicholas was devoted to his children and grandchildren, and it was in their company that he was happiest. His love for his family was constant and unwavering, and he took great joy and pride in watching them grow. He will be remembered for his warmth, his generosity of spirit, and the deep quiet love he gave so freely to everyone close to him.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will remain a blessing to his family for generations to come.
Viewing will be held on July 7, 2026 from 11 AM to 12 PM with the funeral service immediately following.
The viewing/funeral will take place at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Shrine Church, 196–1 0 Northern Blvd., New York, NY 11358 on July 7, 2026
