I will never forget you uncle, your kindness, your generocity ,your hospitality.  You made your home my home those years I was studying in NY. Those memories will always be with me.

I have been trying to write this message for almost a week now. How do you convey the significance of a someine who profoundly touched your life?  My heart aches for all of you and I am so sorry for your loss.  Pat the Greek, as I knew him, was the continued connection I had to my Uncle Terry after he passed when I was 8 years old. I loved to go visit Aunt Linda and my cousins because I knew I would get to see Martha, Kiki and my uncle's dear friend Pat the Greek. I can't explain, in words, the void he filled. I loved to listen to stories .. but I loved just being around your whole family with my family. It eased the grief of my uncle's passing at such a young age. I know my dad felt better knowing that Pat and all of you were there for his baby sister and young nephews. To lose Pat is to lose a piece of my childhood and it truly feels like the end of an era. I am grateful and feel blessed to have known him and the family. Those memories will always be with me and I only hope your memories bring you some comfort as you grieve. Pat will always be so very special to me ... he (and all of you) helped a little girl cope with the loss of a favorite Uncle and seeing a young family get through the unimaginable with good friends by their side is something I will never forget.
