Pat grew up on the West Side with her brother Jack, on Columbus Avenue where she made cherished friendships that lasted her entire life. Pat attended grade school at St. Paul the Apostle and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1956. Pat started her career as a Secretary at Grants and later worked at Coats and Clark where she met and fell in love with Richard Ellis. Patricia and Richard were married on May 25, 1968. This year they celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. Pat was a devoted mother and after being at home raising her children, she resumed her career as a Pupil Accounting Secretary for the New York City Board of Ed. She worked at P.S.150 in Sunnyside, from 1989 to 2000. Pat resumed her education and was awarded her Associates Degree from LaGuardia Community College in 1993. She completed her career in 2009 at P.S. 212 in Jackson Heights. Pat spent her retirement years enjoying weekly exercise classes with friends and cherished moments with her grandchildren.
Pat passed peacefully, surrounded by her family early Tuesday morning. She had been living in Jackson Heights, NY for 53 years.
Pat was predeceased by her parents, her beloved brother John Moore and her beloved nephew Michael Moore. She is survived by her devoted husband Richard, her loving children, Jennifer (David) McNamara and Richard (Christine) Ellis, her beloved grandchildren: Kaitlin, Macaire, Lauren, Emma, John, and Liam, her loving sister-in-law Mary Moore and her beloved nieces Jacqueline Moore and Michele (Mike) May.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A funeral mass will occur Monday, September 13, 2021 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at St Joan of Arc, 82-00 35th Avenue, Jackson Heights, NY 11372. An interment will occur Monday, September 13, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY 11792.
