

Patricia E. McShea, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on March 26, 2025. Patricia was born to Bridget and Martin Casey on November 20, 1937 in New York City and grew up in the Bronx, NY where she graduated from Mount St. Ursula High School.
After graduation from high school, Patricia went to work for the FBI in Manhattan before starting her family, and later worked at the Queens College Speech - Language - Hearing Center. Patricia married the love of her life, Donald E. McShea, on September 22, 1962 and they enjoyed 59 loving years together until his passing in 2022. Pat and Don first moved to the Boulevard Gardens in Woodside, NY before finally settling in Flushing, NY. They were blessed with four children and nine grandchildren and she took great joy being in the presence of her family. She was a leader of her daughter’s Brownie Troop, coached softball, and enjoyed bowling and playing basketball in her younger years. Last year she was thrilled to be able to treat most of her children and grandchildren to a trip to Ireland, even visiting her parents’ childhood homes. Patricia was also an excellent cook, known especially for her racks of lamb, rib roasts, and Irish Soda Bread.
Patricia was predeceased by her mother and father, her sister, Anna Marie Casey, her brother, Martin Casey, and her beloved husband, Donald.
She is survived by her sister, Eileen Casey, and her children, son Daniel J. McShea (Carolyn), daughter Anne Marie McShea Margies (Robert), son, Edward M. McShea (Kathleen), son, Christopher McShea (Stephanie), and her grandchildren – Meghan, Haley, and Shannon Margies; Casey, Lorraine and Donald McShea; and Kylie, Lindsay, and Jack McShea. In addition to family and friends, Patricia is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Patricia will be held Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Quinn – Fogarty Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 9:30 AM at St. Ann’s Church, 58-02 146th Street, Flushing, NY 11355. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465.
