PABLO ROSA JR
Was Born on April 16, 1936. He was born on the beautiful Island of Puerto Rico, in the southern coastal city of Ponce aka “Pearl of the South”. He was one of three children and his family would eventually move to The Bronx, New York where Pablo lived until a good old age.
In his youth he loved the sport of boxing and was pretty good with his hands. He shared his love for the sport with both of his son’s Paul Rosa III and Vincent J. Rosa. Which til this day both still enjoy a good fight!!
Pablo enlisted in the United States Army on March 2, 1959 and proudly served his country as a Light Weapons, Infantryman. He successfully completed his training within COMPANY B, 2D BATTLE GROUP, 8TH INFANTRY “FIGHTING EAGLES”. After 6 years of outstanding service Pablo was discharged from the United States Army on March 1, 1965 with an Honorable Discharge. This was an accomplishment Pablo was very proud of and it was held near and dear to his heart. He became an active supporter of veterans and was especially generous to charities that helped veterans.
Once returning home from the military Pablo married Nellie B. Robles. They were married on July 17, 1965.They shared 2 boys, Paul and Vincent.
Then…
In 1983 Pablo was Born Again when he gave his life over to JESUS and became a Christian. Pablo Loved his Bible and anyone whose ever seen any of his Bibles could tell by the way they were completely worn out with all kinds of notes in the margins and highlighting’s of all his favorite scriptures!
Pablo’s favorite story in the Bible was the story of Noah. Genesis 6:1-9 NLT Pablo Loved his Church Family, he also sang in the choir at his church and drove the church van to various church functions.
I know Pablo’s Prayer to GOD would’ve been for anyone who took the time to read his obituary to be Saved, because Salvation is for everyone!!
“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:9-11, 13 NLT
Ask GOD to forgive you of your sins and for JESUS to be Your LORD and SAVIOR and Believe it in your Heart!!
Pablo as a Brother in Christ would’ve wanted you to hear the Gospel!! I wonder if Pablo knew what Noah’s Name meant? Noah means “REST” Pablo is with his LORD and SAVIOR now and he is at Rest.
The committal service for Paul will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023, 10:30am at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY 11792.
