My Uncle Phil's strength, warmth, love, wisdom and encouraging words always made me feel so safe and loved. He was so proud of his family, and was loved beyond words by so many. He was one of my favorite people on earth. My memories of him being Santa when we were kids, the trips to the firehouse, Sunday dinners with the family....are memories that will always stay with me. Him, my Aunt Gloria and cousins were always there to support me, celebrating my journey, no matter the distance. My Uncle handed me a honorary pin he was given after 911, and he told me to always remember the courage and strength of the people that protect our country, and how grateful and blessed he was to serve our country as a Marine and was so honored to be a New York Firefighter . I will never forget that day and will forever hold it close to my heart. He was an amazing man, the best Uncle and role model to so many. I love you Uncle Phil. Rest in Peace.

Always admired how Phil carried himself among the Brothers, confident, tenacious, and always willing to help. He is one of a kind, as so many were in 28 Truck. Will miss him!
