Ramona Colindreler, 95, died on September 1, 2026. A longtime resident of Bayside, New York, she will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew her. Born on May 1, 1931, Ramona’s life was marked by devotion to family and the steady presence of a woman whose warmth could be felt in both word and deed.
Ramona was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Colindreler. She was a loving mother of Gladys Gelinas and Rosanne Martone, and the late Manuel Rodriguez. She was the cherished grandmother of Kelly Tingle and Ramona Erickson, and the adored great grandmother of Madison Tingle, Jack Tingle, Zachary Erickson, Crystan Erickson, and Ashe Erickson. She was also the dear sister of Gilbert Aviles and Armondo Aviles.
Those closest to Ramona knew her as someone who brought people together in simple, meaningful ways—especially through the care she put into cooking, something she truly enjoyed and did exceptionally well. Just as memorable was her gift for conversation: she loved to talk, to share stories, and to fill a room with laughter. Her sense of humor and lively storytelling left a lasting imprint, offering comfort, connection, and lightness to everyday moments.
Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on Monday, September 7, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 34-24 203rd St, Bayside, NY 11361, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 9:45 am.
Interment will follow at Cypress Hills Cemetery, 833 Jamaica Ave, New York, NY 11208, on September 8, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
