Regina Uliano, 87, passed away on March 16, 2026. Born on May 12, 1938, Regina was cherished, kind-hearted, and beloved—someone whose presence could soften a room and whose love settled gently, like light, over the people she held dear.
Raised in Brooklyn, New York, Regina built a life rooted in devotion and steady care. She married her beloved husband, Salvatore Uliano, and together they raised their children in Bayside, NY. In her working life, she served as an LPN at Ozanam Hall in Queens, NY, offering comfort through the quiet, faithful work of tending to others—day by day, person by person.
After her introduction, those who knew her best knew “Regina” as the heart of a family story still being told—through traditions, shared laughter, and the lasting warmth of her attention. She was married to her late husband, Salvatore Uliano, and is survived by her three children: Louis Uliano (Marcella), Carolyn Strigaro (Edward), and Michael Uliano (Tracy). She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Suzanne Demby (James), Rachel Contini (Rob), Danielle Coster (Brendan), Amanda Roiland (Josh), and Kelly Strigaro, and by her great-grandchildren Sadie, Louis, Crew, Collins, and Callie, each of whom carries forward a piece of her tenderness and spirit.
Regina always loved to be involved and social. She traveled, read, and delighted in puzzles, but most of all she loved her family—an affection that was not merely spoken, but lived. When she moved to Atria East Northport Assisted Living, she continued to do what came naturally: she stayed social, participated in events, and remained fully present in the rhythm of community. She also had a flair for making moments feel special—dressing up to watch the Oscars, and savoring tea at The Plaza Hotel, as if to remind everyone that beauty and celebration are worth seeking, no matter the day.
Her sense of belonging extended beyond her home. Regina was
apart of the 200th Street Block in Bayside and joined the gatherings there with friends, weaving herself into the neighborhood in the way only a truly kind-hearted person can. She also participated in social events and activities at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, a local church close to her home, where her children attended school—another thread in the tapestry of a life built around connection, faith, and community.
Regina’s life was made of the things that endure: love offered freely, time given generously, and a steady devotion to family and community. Though she is no longer here to gather with those she loved, the imprint of her cherished, beloved spirit remains—quietly, faithfully, and forever.
The family will receive visitors for a wake at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on March 22, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, New York, NY 11365, on March 23, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
