Richard Pastorelli Jr., age 82, of Flushing NY, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday July 3rd, 2024. Richard was born in 1942, in Flushing NY, to the late Richard and Nancy Pastorelli. He was a master machinist and mechanic, proudly servicing all aspects of the commercial printing industry all over the world, highly regarded in his field, even in Botswana Africa (family joke). He branched out on his own in 1991 and finally retired from the industry after a successful run around 2008. Richard was an excellent provider, he would always be on hand to help with anything you needed. He was beloved by the community and offered the hand of friendship to all he encountered. He was so proud of his children but his favorite role was his promotion to Grandfather. He adored his grandchildren, spared nobody the details of their achievements no matter how trivial. He lit up around them and they were proud to call him Papa. Papa could fix anything and was a wealth of knowledge, which he bestowed whether solicited or unsolicited. He was upgraded further with the title of Great Grandfather, to three beautiful girls. His heart was full. Richard Pastorelli Jr. will be lovingly remembered by his two brothers, John Pastorelli (Rose) and Charles Pastorelli (Maryann). His three children, Lisa Catalanotto (Steve), Maria Borsch (John) and Anthony Pastorelli (Jennie). Six grandchildren, Steven Catalanotto (Nicole), Christopher Catalanotto, Toniann Deltuva (Andrew), John Borsch Jr., Michael Borsch, and Eireann Pastorelli. His three great grandchildren, Emily Jo Catalanotto, Hailey Rose Deltuva, Annie Grace Catalanotto, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Richard was predeceased by his beloved wife Felicia Pastorelli (1942-2019) and his precious granddaughter Michele Elizabeth Borsch (1997-2007). Friends and family are invited to attend the wake and ceremony on Sunday July 7th, 2024 from 3pm to 7pm at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Blvd., Flushing NY. May the peace of Almighty Jesus rest upon him.
