John, Talia and family,
May the memories you have always fill your hearts with love.
Only a strong, loving family can give a person the will to live a long,  happy, fulfilled life like your mom. 
She was a strong woman, with an amazing family! 
I am really going to miss her Easter Pie! She made it so much better than I can!

Rose was my aunt and godmother. I always enjoyed talking with her and always felt better after talking with her. Aunt Rose always projected love and positiveness.  She never failed to say that she enjoyed being my godmother. She always said nice things about my wife, Sue Ellen, and how lucky I was to have such a special person in my life. She also always asked about my son, Christopher. 
When I moved to PA and told her how much Sue Ellen and I missed NJ she told my not to worry.  She said it would take about 5 years to get comfortable with the move because that is how long it took her when she moved to NY. 
Aunt Rose would tell me how much she loved her sisters, especially my mom and how much she enjoyed playing with my mom in the school yard. Whenever we spoke, she would tell me how much she missed the family gatherings with her sisters.  My memory tells me that each sister took a holiday to celebrate and Christmas was at the Logerfo home. It was an Italian celebration not just a dinner. Antipasto, followed by pasta (Aunt Rose usually made lasagna), followed by turkey with all the trimmings, followed by fruit & nuts, then followed by dessert & coffee (various sweets, Italian pastries and of course homemade strufulli). Then lots of talking and maybe playing cards (Aunt Rose really enjoyed playing cards). Then sandwiches were offered. They were definitely memorable events.
Aunt Rose's death is not just a death in the life of a person. It is also the end of chapter 3 in the 4 chapter story of the Maresca sisters. 
I love you, Aunt Rose and I know you are in heaven with God!!!

Rose loved her family and was so proud of you all. I have nothing but fond memories of her. She was so kind and loving towards me. She welcomed me with open arms, taught me about Italian cooking and even shared some of her recipes with me that I still have in my collection. I am so happy to have  had the chance to know her.  All my love to the Logerfo family. Thank you for letting me be a part of it, so many years ago. I'm so very sorry for your loss.  She's safe in God's hands now.  Love to you all and know that your Mom will never be forgotten.  Love, Robin
