Gone much too soon...always helped everyone 

It’s with much sadness to learn the=passing of Russel who I only have  happy memories of him. 
Gone too soon, may he Rest In Peace. 
May his family and loved ones take Confort in knowing we will see each other at the resurrection. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

All of us on 169th Street were truly blessed to have Russell as a neighbor. He was a friend to everyone who was always there  when you needed him. He was caring, watchful, compassionate and generous. He was our guardian angel. 
He will be sorely missed. He will never be forgotten.


I worked with Russel from 1996 till he retired. We had great times. Jack, Eddie and Russel were so close. I was young at the time. In my twenties when I met Russel but he took me under his wing and was a friend and a father figure. Russel Jack and Eddie Gerry and myself have irreplaceable memories. He included me bc I made him laugh. I wish I could still do that. He was very special to me and also the TWA guys bc they were old school like him. Not to many TWA guys left but they all were very fond of him. Great man. Great legacy. I know he’s at peace now so that gives me solice. God Bless you and do not worry. He is at peace

Worked with Russell at LGA  in the mid-90’s after being furloughed at RDU and sent to NY. He was very  helpful and really made the adjustment easy.  Spent four good years working alongside him and many other good people in that station. R.I.P.  my friend.

So sorry to hear this sad news.  Russ worked with my husband  and son at LGA.  He visited my son Joe Podhajski at the Nursing Home where he resided a few times with two other co workers.  I will never forget that.  Rest in the arms of the Lord and say hello to Al and my son Joe Podhajski for me.

So sorry to his family and his LGA family he was a decent and caring stand up guy . He will be missed by many RIP Russell✈️

Russ and I worked together and had plenty of laughs in the 70s at LGA. He was friends with everyone. I remember those vitamin days he was supporting us to take and trying to guide everyone what each one was for. Working in the barroom and taking turns as acting crew cheifs by the expediting desk . He will be dearly missed.

Great friend like a big brother to me remember the great times and many great times with my dear friend who was loved by my two sons eddyhilt
