He was a sharp and caring pathology professor.  He instilled excitement in a medical school topic many medical students fear; but is so essential to becoming a competent physician.  May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. A. He was a treasure of Downstate and a truly special person. A great storyteller and chronicler of Downstate history. May he rest in peace.

He will be truly missed! I remember the mornings when we meet in the hallway at Downstate. His smile and words of compliment make you look forward to a brighter day. He always reminds me of how his hardworking generation of doctors brought us to where we are now.  A million thanks Dr. A!

I met Dr. A as a student, and again as a resident.  He was wise, always kind, and a great educator.  Dr. A influenced my decision to become a pathologist.  He will be missed.

Dr. A, as the medical students called him, was a beloved and respected member of the Department of Pathology at SUNY Downstate.  He will be missed by his many friends and colleagues who worked with him. Committed to educating our residents and medical students and to supporting our department, Tom adhered to the highest professional and personal standards.  He was a special person.
