Dear Theo Vasilis,
God bless you and your loving family along with me, your nephew Sam, son of your cherished and dearly loved sister Barbara. You were her big brother who she looked up to. I always admired the respect you had for each other, and I know she was in your heart and best friend. A lifetime of memories together, from taking me with you for a swim at Sunken Meadow Beach, and picnic there in the park, to the weekend barbecue 's at our house in East Meadow where you could relax from the hectic city life. That was country to you in the 1960's until you eventually built your own out east. I always listened to what you said to me with interest about your past endeavors, WW II, and business advice. You watched me grow up into the man I am today. Thankfully I was able to share some of that time with you. You will always be in my heart, along side with my mother and your sister Barbara, forever. It's truly an honor and with great pleasure to have known the both you!! Holding back the tears of sorrow, I still love you now and forever and ever.... Mom, and Uncle Bill......Thank You for all your strength and love you have given me!!... Sam

I met Mr & Mrs Loukatos through my dear friend, Dorothy, who is their daughter in law. At their son’s, Evange, birthday party, I remember having a great conversation with Mr Loukatos about his travels to Cuba while in the military and how we both enjoyed strong coffee!
His memories of his travels were so vivid to me, I can see Cuba in my mind!

May God have welcomed you home with open arms & reunited you with your loved ones in heaven.

On June 20th, 2020, I lost my Pappou Vaseles. He was not only my Pappou, but he was also my best friend. He was selfless, hardworking, supportive, loving, caring, and took care of his family that he loved more than his life. He will also be remembered for his humor and the jokes he would tell us all that we thought were so funny. I am forever grateful for the relationship that we had and how close we were. I will always cherish the memories I developed with him from when I was very young to being a young adult. The one thing that made me happy was that he saw his favorite place, greenport for one last time. Σαγαπω παρά πολύ παππού always and forever❤️❤️ May he Rest In Peace 😢🙏🏻❤️❤️
