Vincenza Ignelzi, beloved wife of the late Rosario “Sam” Ignelzi, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024. She was the loving mother of Paul (Linda) Ignelzi and Peter (Mimi) Ignelzi. Vincenza was cherished by her grandchildren Angela (Daniel) Buhrke, Christina (Adam) Schreiber, Nicholas (Laura) Ignelzi, and Christopher Ignelzi, and was a doting great-grandmother to Mason, Zoey, Hudson, Annabelle, Sebastian, and Lina.
Born into a life dedicated to faith and family, Vincenza was known for her unwavering devotion to God and her loved ones. She spent her years as a talented seamstress and dedicated homemaker, where her skills and warmth created a nurturing home for her family. Vincenza's kindness was evident to all who knew her, as she never spoke an ill word of anyone and remembered every birthday with a heartfelt phone call.
In addition to her family, Vincenza's generosity extended to her community and beyond. She supported the DAV Honor Guard, a testament to her gratitude for those who served their country.
Vincenza Ignelzi's legacy is one of love, faith, and compassion. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the DAV Honor Guard, honoring Vincenza's commitment to veterans and their families.

Visiting hours for Vincenza will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 9:15 AM at St. Luke Roman Catholic Church, 16-34 Clintonville St, New York, NY 11357. The interment will follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, New York, NY 11365.
