Violeta Machado

Violeta Machado, born May 7, 1932, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, at the age of 94. A longtime resident of Little Neck, New York, she was the beloved wife of the late Gerardo Machado, M.D., with whom she shared more than 50 years of marriage.

Violeta was a devoted mother to Gerardo Machado and Patricia Machado Pramer, and a loving mother-in-law to Violeta Machado and Claus Pramer. She was the cherished grandmother of Sabrina Machado, Gerardo R. Machado, Alexander Pramer, and Nicholas Pramer, and the proud great-grandmother of Amelia Machado, Alessandra Machado, Isabel Cabrera, and Lucia Cabrera.

She is also survived by her beloved brother, Ángel Aguilera, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Violeta was the treasured matriarch of her family, and her love, strength, wisdom, and devotion will live on through the generations she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family will be having a visitation at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A link is provided below to join the family livestream from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm

A Committal Service will take place at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, Flushing, NY 11365, on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 10:00 am.
