Asher Camhi, fondly known as “Heshey,” passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the age of 97. His long life was filled with love for his family, and he leaves behind cherished memories that will live on for generations.
Heshey was a loving and giving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Heshey was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edith Camhi. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Roslynn and Susan; his grandchildren, Veronica, Jacqueline, and Bryan; and his great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Anthony, Michael, Talia, Vincent, Asher, and Zayn.
His family will remember his generosity, steady presence, and the precious memories they shared together.
Heshey will be deeply missed and forever loved. His 97 years leave a legacy of family, togetherness, and a lifetime of memories held close to the hearts of those who knew him.
A Funeral Service will be held at Schwartz Brothers-Jeffer Memorial Chapels, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375, US, on November 2, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
A Committal Service will be held at Mount Hebron Cemetery, 130-04 Horace Harding Expy, New York, NY 11367, US, on November 2, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
