Although we lived far apart, Bernard was part of my childhood, sometimes joining us on family vacations in Europe and visiting our home in England.  He was a kind and gentle person who was very thoughtful and passionate about travel.

I have very fond memories of a trip my daughter and I made to New York a few years ago.  Bernard and Eve gave us such a warm welcome and wonderful hospitality.  We were so impressed by Bernard’s knowledge of New York and its buildings – he was the perfect guide.  Over dinner, we spoke about trips we had made and those we planned to make.

Bernard will be missed by us all.  Condolences to Eve, the wider family and his many friends.

Bernard was my first cousin (his mother was my father's older sister) but we were separated by the Atlantic ocean so didn't have the chance to meet up very often.  When I visited New York, he was always a wonderful guide, showing me so much of the city and its history, and also family history (as our grandparents had also lived in NY).  He and Eve were generous, warm and welcoming on these visits, and I am so saddened there will not be another chance of such a meeting.  

Worked at ITS at 15 Metrotech in Brooklyn for 16 years and several years prior at 111 8th Avenue in Manhattan with Bernard. He was a good friend and a bright light of kindness, compassion, and serenity in our office. Will always remember the lunches at Juniors, summer baseball games, and talks of travel and theater.  Condolences to Eve and his family and friends.


I was just so saddened to hear this news.  Bernard was one of the nicest and sweetest folks I've known.  I met him through my late husband over 35 years ago when they were coworkers and Bernard would sometimes join us with a gathering of mutual friends.  He knew I liked a certain kind of wafer cookie and, ever thoughtful, always seemed to have a little packet of them for me whenever he met up with Paul and I.  

My condolences to Eve and the family during this difficult time.  Bernard will be missed by many.  

I worked with Bernard on various projects over many (30 +)years at HRA. Bernard was totally reliable and efficient in his work. He was also a very friendly and kind person and would regularly come up to my floor and pass by my desk to ask how I was doing and chat for a while.  We would often discuss his many  trips to   interesting places in the world. He had a thirst for travel and would tell me  where he and Eve would like to go next.  We also discussed  his two cats  as he knew I was a cat lover. .My heartfelt condolences  to Eve. When I think of Bernard,  it will always be with fondness.

Bernard truly exemplified the meaning of being a man of all seasons.  He was someone you can confide in.  He was very concerned and non-judgemental.   My heartfelt condolences go out to Eve. I’m am so sorry for your loss but you were so blessed to have known such a gentle soul. 

Losing a friend is so difficult, and it's hard to fill this hole in your life.
I have known Bernard for over 8 years.  He was special, unique person, with great sense of humor, and very kind.  He will be missed...

We worked together and played bridge for many years. Bernard was a good, kind and thoughtful person. Every year, on the eve of Rosh Hashonah, he sent us a wish for a good new year. He will be missed.  My deepest condolences to Eve and his family.

Bernie was such a positive, kind and happy  individual. He worked hard , was smart, loved to wear those crazy husband and wife T-shirts and travel around the globe on adventures with EVE, the love of his life.  You were truly an inspiration Bernie . Why we just all went for so many delicious dinners in the mountains and shared many good bottles of wine and stories. Jonah, Sabrina and I are so saddened by your passing but we know you will always be there looking over Eve and all of your friends. You my friend will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Bernie!

Terrible to hear about this. He had so much life. There was so much goodness in the man. May he rest in peace. I knew nothing but kindness from him.

I often think about the times we got together and had adventures around the City - some of my best memories ever! I am saddened at Bernard's passing, but am thankful for all the happy times Jim snd I shared with him and Eve. My sincere condolences to Eve and the family. Much love!
