My name is Shayna Brown and I have been the lice/nit lady for BAIS Yaakov of Queens for over 25 years. Whenever we came to check the 8th graders we all vied to go into Bina’s room so that we could learn from all her pearls of wisdom. We even participated and asked her questions because we knew that she would inspire us with her answers. There are no words to express our feelings for your terrible loss. I was a high school classmate of Binah's. A standout memory is from 12th grade. I didn't have a great wardrobe, but Binah came to my rescue and lent me clothing for yearbook pictures. She was so sweet and casual about it that when it came time to going to the Bais Yaakov Convention I felt comfortable asking her for outfits. How sensitive and beautiful.

Bina, you taught us to appreciate the beautiful world HASHEM made for us. You lived it, breathed it and with your abundance of love, wanted others to feel it! I picture your warm smile recognizing and embracing the Shechina up in Shamayim, - recognizing it bc it was and is always apart of you. I picture you dancing with so much pure joy, no pain just bliss. We miss you so much down here, but I know that you are in the real world.  In Olam Haemes your Neshama is shining so brightly that it doesn’t want to come back down here. It was mentioned at the Levaya that every time you went through a difficult medical situation that you saw HASHEM gave you a gift after -  A child got engaged, grand child born.., Well this is the ultimate! I hope that this time the gift will be Moshiach!! I miss you tons!!! You will always be remembered for your strength in Emunah, Bitachon and Simchas HaChaim! May HASHEM comfort your beautiful family and may they always follow in your footsteps with the amazing legacy that you left them!!!

My 8th grade teacher. I am now 34. She was always smiling. BDE this is a sad day

Dearest precious Binah , I haven’t stopped crying. I was at the Lavaya. Every word your family spoke pierced our hearts, a small glimpse into the Holy neshama that you are. Absolutely everyone that came into contact with your warmth your kindness your compassion your guidance your direction your  love of Hashem of people of life was affected in profound and real ways. So many were there. I believe you saw them I believe you also can see into their hearts and know our gratitude for your presence in our lives. How lucky those of us who were touched by you are. I feel aimless today, I want to hang onto anything about you, I’ve reread our texts together I think about your beautiful smile when we shared in my salon. Binah I took a lot away from what I heard today, you’re always speaking to Hashem and seeing his hand. I heard how you make shabbos so special even when you were in pain, in your zechut my friend I will do the same, I’m generally alone but I will take out the nice dishes, use a challah cover, I will follow your lead my friend, I too will look for the gift in each challenge, this is what I can do to honor your life. My memories of Mrs. Kasirer are few but are very profound. I can recall her sitting on the porch of her Dora Golding bungalow flanked by her children smiling and enjoying watching the stream of young campers walk by. Her warm aura made saying hello very special and her excitement made me feel so good. I was embraced with that  same excitement and warmth many years later when I came to return her family car that I borrowed and had to apologize for scratching. She wasn't upset and didn't make me feel even a bit uncomfortable. The is so much to learn from the way she smiled and talked to people.  

May her family know no more sorrow.

Dearest Bina, 
I haven’t seen you in so long… being that I lived in Brooklyn for many years and then moved to Montreal. 
But your image of sparkling radiance, purity of soul, and an overflowing wellspring of  love is seared in my memory for all time …and you have only  perfected that image if at all humanly possible. אשת חיל מי ימצא. The entire Perek is a tribute to and a description of you. You were a living Kadosh, day in and day out, accepting unfathomable yissurim b’ahava.
I will try, bl”n, to emulate your holy ways and will continue to carry your glorious, penetrating image before me for the rest of my life. Your children who adore you are a living legacy of your greatness.

Morah Kassirer I loved you as my teacher and as my friend. You were so kind to me and patient and your emunah came from a different world. I looked at you and always saw a smile on your face. And even if it wasn’t a direct smile it was smile lines, painted allover your beautiful and holy face. It made me wonder how ? I grew older and understood a little that you were just best friends with Hashem,  and that’s how.  But you were also firm, steadfast, committed to Emes, and because it came across in the most gentle and loving way, it pierced my heart and the hearts of your students. Your eyes, always sparkling, when I think of them I think safety, assured, Kedusha, a soul sent here to spread Hashems extraordinary light. And you did. You did. I’m sorry for all you went through. Why do magnificent people go through so much…Thank you for being so kind and warm and patient. So loving. I needed it so much. And I could never forget  your crazy yummy shabbos food from shabbatonim. I’ll miss you. Although you’re for sure the happiest now. May Hashem watch over your holy family and may they always feel your presence in a way that brings them great joy and comfort.

My sister Binah a”h  was a very loving, sweet, joyous & frum person.  She exhibited the best in life, Avodah, Chinuch and Yiras Shamayim!  A teacher in Bais Yacov, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter.  She was the apple of my father’s eye- Rabbi Solomon Silberberg z”l who as a Holocaust survivor loved Chinuch.  Gifted - teaching her students and friends  with a warmth, love, wisdom and sweetness taking very much after our dear mother Arline (Platt) Silberberg z”l.   May HaShem bless her neshama with love, comfort and a place amongst the righteous.   I miss you Binah and love you to the end of times.  Your dear brother, Marshall (Moshe Nassan Ben HaRav Shlomo).
